Medium Of Instruction

Normally all the teaching schedule and examination will be done in Hindi/English. For training the weak students in English, a separate arrangements will be made by the school for training English. Emphasis, will be given to develop the skill of spoken English. For and weak students, lectures will be given in Hindi so that students understand the subject.

Attendance

The students are required to have minimum of 75% attendance in each year to attend Bihar Nursing Registration Council Examination.

Uniform

Students will be allowed to wear the uniform prescribed by the school. The uniform will include saree Blouse or salwar suit, Lab Coat, white Shoe white socks for school Time and community Health programme.

Dress

Students are to be modest in dress with no extremes of style. Saree, salwar kurta and chunni, churidar payjama are to be worn in the Dining Room, prayer Time and outside of Hostel premises. Wearing Jewellery while on duty is prohibited. Nursing students are not permitted to use any make up including eye shadow and kajal. No finger nail polish is to used. Small bindi may be applied while on duty.

Hospital

Students should go to the hospital only when on duty or with prior permission. Students shall not accept any presents or girts from patients or their relatives or visitors for any service or favour. If a student wishes to visit sick students or relatives, she must obtain prior permission from the Matron or Tutor. Students must not go alone or outside from the Hospital after 8 p.m.

Hostel

Students will be provided accommodation, single or dormitory according to the availability. They will not be allowed to keep their relatives to any outside the Hostel as per the decision of the principal. In such a case the student will not be entitled for any house rent allowances.

Visit To Relatives

Students will be permitted to go out to visit relatives (approved in writing by the sponsor or guardian as the case may be) once a month provided it does not conflict with the scheduled term exams. Permission must be obtained one day in advance form the competent authority. Parents, sponsor or guardian, as the case may be, must give in writing, prior approval for the student, if she is to travel along. A list relatives (Father, Mother, Sister and Brother), who would accompany the photographs submitted at the time of admission.

Bazar / Marketing

Students may be allowed to go the Bazaar twice a month when it does not affect with their Learning Experience or the classes. The college authorities will make arrangement to send an escort with them. When going out in the evening, students must return before dark, latest, latest by 6 p.m.

Visiting Hours

All permitted visitors will be received and met in the visitors room in the Hostel on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. visitors at other places or timings and in the hospital, during duty hours, are not permitted except in cases of special needs in which case the visitors must obtain prior permission from the principal.

School Hours

The ordinary school day shall consist of not less than 7 hours. The school will be functioning full day from Monday to Saturday between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Office Hours

The school office will generally remain open on week days from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will remain closed on Sunday and declared Holiday.

Gifts

Students must not accept or ever receive gift or money from patients or other relatives or any other person. Any gifts from their parents or sponsor or guardian or permitted relatives may be sent only through the competent authority of the school, who will have the right and duty of inspecting them before delivering them to the student concerned for whom they may be sent.

Holidays

Minimum of 4 weeks vacation will be given each year. Sunday, Second and Fourth Saturday are Holidays. 15 days will be declared as National and Festival Holidays for the year.

Some More Information :-

  • Joining the Mess in Hostel is compulsory.

  • The students are expected to follow the rules of the school, Hostel and Mess. Failure to do so will lead to disciplinary action.

  • Students are advised not to keep heavy cash, Gold/Silver Jewellery and costly items in their their rooms.

  • Students are required to buy text books for their courses.

  • When students are posted within or outside for project or clinical experience and field work, her personal expenses shall be borne by the students.

  • The school would provide transport facilities for the students field work. Whenever if this could not be feasible by any reason, the students will have to use public transport at their own expenses.

  • For community health and field experience every student needs to purchase prescribed dress.

  • For winter, every student needs to have two Navy Blue Colour cardigans with full sleeves and in plain pattern for hospital or field work.

  • White coloured suit (salwar kurta) will be needed for the field work.

  • There will be For weeks vacation at the end of each academic year for self study and preparation for the examination.

  • Students will be provided washing facilities through washer man on pament.
