Being a well-conceived response to the growing demands for professionally trained nurses in Government Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Primary Health Centre's, Doctor's clinics, and various Nursing Homes, where your dedicated service is required as personally or professionally.

Community Health Nursing (A.N.M. Course) focuses on the individual and the family. Our ultimate aim is to benefit the population as a whole by delivering quality and accessible care with respect and sensitivity to the limitations that poverty imposes. However, our aim is:

  1. Prepare an A.N.M. to take care of the community needs with specific skills
  2. Prepare an ANM to act as a link between the community and the health care system.
  3. To Prepare an A.N.M. to deliver better nursing care to the state as well as the nation.

 

OUR OBJECTIVE TO OPEN THEA.N.M. NURSING SCHOOL ARE DEFINED AS UNDER :

  1. Assess the total status of the community
  2. Identify health problems and health needs of the community.
  3. Provide preventive, promotive, restorative and emergency health care to individuals and the community as per requirement.
  4. Provide treatment of minor aliment.
  5. Provide skilled midwifery service to all mothers in the community and refer mothers at risk to the hospital.
  6. Guide or Train to Birth Attendants, Aanganwadi Workers (AWW), other Community Health Activists and volunteers.
  7. Provide appropriate information and counselling related to maintaining the health of the community.
  8. Participate in all the National Health and Family Welfare programs at the community level.
  9. Act as a team member in the health care delivery system.
  10. Coordinate and collaborate with all voluntary organizations and NGO's in the health care delivery system.
  11. Manage the Health Centre including equipment's and supplies and maintaining of records.
  12. Update knowledge and skills for professional and personal growth.
  13. Assist in Health Care Delivery System as a trained ANM.
